The years of experience we have in all aspects of the wedding industry, not just flowers, design and planning. We have taken cues from some of the best vendors in Charleston that we have been so fortunate to work with. We focus on you and what you envision for your wedding. While we let our expertise guide you, we understand that your wedding is about you and your love for one another and it should be an expression of that love.

How long have you been doing weddings & flowers and how did you get into the business?

Beth started playing around with floral & wedding design when she was a very little girl. She first started working at a flower shop (The Flower Cottage) her senior year of high school. Beth worked at a handful of flower shops between North Carolina and Charleston, SC until she started WildFlowers Inc. officially on September 1st 2007. Through WildFlowers Inc., the requests for planning & coordinations grew which is how Charleston Wedding Studio came to be. Beth has been doing weddings officially for over 30 years, but unofficially her entire life! WildFlowers Inc. became Charleston Wedding Studio January 1st 2020.

What type of Couple would most benefit from your services?

Couples that want a beautiful and stress-free wedding day and can allow for creativity within their vision. Couples that are fun, flexible & open minded will get the best work from us. We love bringing their designs to life in cool and creative ways. Our couples may even be a little rebellious against planning norms.

What type of Couples will not benefit from your services?

Couples need to be able to let go and have trust that we will do everything within our power to make their day as special and flawless as possible. We want couples to be focusing on their love and one another. Someone that has a strict paint by number design, rigid vision or is unrealistic would probably not be a good fit. (You know who you are!)

Do you accept credit cards or have a payment plan?

You are busy and we try to make the process as painless and convenient as possible. A $750-$1500 non-refundable retainer holds the date dependent on the services you choose. You can pay by check, a variety of credit cards through your personalized client web-site, PayPal or Venmo. 50% of the balance will be due 2 months before the wedding and the remaining balance, plus or minus any changes, will be due 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

How quickly should I expect a response to inquiries?

We try to get back as soon as possible with each and every one of you. It really varies during the year and how many weddings we have during wedding season and the workflow. Sometimes we can get back to you immediately. Sometimes it will take days. There are many more aspects to wedding planning & design; we are often working on your wedding even if we are not working directly with you. As always, we promise to completely devote ourselves to your special day when it arrives.

Will we have to meet?

It’s totally up to you. You’re busy and we get that. We can do this via phone, FaceTime, Skype and email if that’s most convenient for you. We will likely meet during your tasting or at least one other time while you are in town. We can also spend that day doing a venue walkthrough and checking out rentals etc. If you prefer additional in person meetings, we will make every effort to meet in person at your convenience, however, our calendar books up quickly. Please be mindful that weekends (Friday through Sunday) we are busy working on weddings just like yours. Weekday weddings are becoming more and more popular as well. Other times during the week we are generating quotes, ordering flowers and supplies, working on floor-plans and time-lines and perhaps… trying to spend a little precious time with our families. But when it comes time to work on your wedding you have our full undivided attention and executing your details takes top priority over meeting with the our next couple to be. In person meetings are reserved for contracted clients.

What’s the one thing you can tell me about weddings that maybe no one else has?

There is a middle ground. You are bombarded with “platinum” images from weddings with extraordinary budgets. On the flip side of that there’s a plethora of sites devoted to telling you in order to save money you need to do everything yourself. Worse yet, that you have to have a wedding in a box!!! Take what you want for your wedding, the stars and the moon, what’s it going to cost? Then deconstruct what of all that is truly important and impacts your overall vision. We’re all for incorporating some of your DIY projects, just don’t underestimate all the labor that goes into every little detail. You don’t have to do it all yourself. You can have a beautifully designed wedding customized to what you want. There is a point between outrageous or nothing at all.

Do you do more than one wedding a day?

Sometimes. We have an awesome and tight knit crew. We may do more than one wedding based on logistics. It depends on the size of the weddings as well as locations. We do book up quickly however and sometimes do have to turn brides away.

What services do you offer?

We offer a variety of wedding planning and wedding coordination services. We have in house wedding florals and wedding lighting. Check out our packages to see the breakdown for all of the services we offer. We also offer a la carte options in you aren’t into bundling our services.

What do I do if I’ve chosen a package but I don’t need everything that you are offering in the package of my choice?

No problem! We will customize the package to fit your specific needs. We may be able to switch out some items based on your wants or needs. The beauty of the designer choice packages is that you get the most bang for your buck.

How do we know what we’ll be getting with our chosen package? 

We can provide sample inspirations per venue. You will also receive comprehensive inspiration boards as part of your event design with our premium packages. What type of decor do you provide? Does it include tables, chairs & those types of rentals? 

By decor we mean fabric projects and decorative items. We have a great selection ranging from lanterns, cake stands, pillows, table numbers and so much more. We also have a few custom items such as an antique farm gate we’ve hung as a dessert table. We have fun adding to our inventory when we see something that works great for a wedding we are working on! We facilitate that for you.
